Lift Manufacturers Product Group (LIFT) members are the industry’s leading suppliers of industrial scissors lift equipment designed to move personnel, equipment, and product. Scissor lift equipment types include dock lifts, tilters, turntables, work platforms, and pallet stackers. They are used in manufacturing, distribution, and other industrial facilities for a variety of material handling applications.
What is Lift Equipment
Industrial lift equipment safely lifts people and materials in the manufacturing and distribution environment. Types of lift equipment includes, Adjustable Worker Elevation Platforms, Industral /Tilters, Lift Tables, Pallet Rotator or Pallet Inverter and Stackers.

Bringing together a network of members to elevate and promote the LIFT industry by providing innovative lifting technology and safety standards.
Lift Manufacturers members meet regularly to commonly standardize the design, performance, and safety requirements of scissor lift equipment. (ANSI MH29.1 – Safety Requirements for Industrial Scissor Lifts).

Ruth Hounkpe, Western Illinois University
The 2023 LIFT Honor Scholarship ($1,500) has been awarded to Ruth Hounkpe, a junior Supply Chain Management student at Western Illinois University where she is a member of the WIU Supply Chain Management Student Association. She currently works part time as an Office Assistant and Welcome Center Specialist at Black Hawk College where she also graduated with an associate degree in Art. She is a multilingual student speaking English, French and some Dutch. She has experience in the manufacturing environment and has knowledge of supply chain processes. Ruth plans to join the workforce after graduation and eventually earn a master’s degree in supply chain management.
Kathryn Sloan, Virginia Tech
The 2023 James Galante Memorial Scholarship ($3,700) sponsored by EASE, LIFT and LODEM has been awarded to Kathryn Sloan, a senior Industrial Engineering student at Virginia Tech. She is active with the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE) and the Female Engineering Mentorship Program at her school. She has interned at a box manufacturing plant where she worked on the plant floor and analyzed data. After graduation, Kathryn would like to enter the workforce and then work on a master’s degree.
