Vehicle Automation Increases Productivity and Efficiency in Assembly Plant

In an automotive assembly plant, an automatic guided vehicle system (AGVS) of 58 vehicles handle most of the assembly parts from an incoming area to over 450 pickup and delivery locations at various stages throughout the manufacturing lines. An oscillating laser on board the vehicle locates and triangulates its exact position in the facility. This system provides for automatic battery charging as well.
