ROSELLE, IL, ISSUED OCTOBER 28, 2024…
Cherry's Industrial Equipment, an engineering and manufacturing company dedicated to solving workflow and safety issues in the workplace, today announced the appointment of Javier Lopez of North Aurora, IL to the position of Manufacturing Engineer.
In this capacity, he will work closely with the company’s production team and its suppliers, as their custom-designed machines are assembled for client use. He will review all of the specifications for each individual design to be certain that each piece of equipment is constructed to specifications.
He comes to Cherry’s with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, which he earned from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. His relevant coursework there included nuclear power engineering, finite element analysis and mechanical design.
His work prior to joining Cherry’s included NAPA Auto Parts, where he coordinated sales and payments for commercial and industrial clients, and managed in-store inventory as well as transfers between national distribution centers.
His interest in being an engineer has been a lifelong wish. “My father was big on making things, and I learned by his example,” he says, noting that even today in his spare time he enjoys the challenge of repairing items including household appliances when necessary.
He will work with the Cherry’s production team in their custom designs of equipment designed to increase efficiencies and reduce workplace injuries across the numerous industries that the company services.
The Illinois native also counts fishing among his out-of-office pastimes.
John Costello, Chief Executive Officer at Cherry’s, said, “We are pleased to welcome Javier to our Cherry’s family. His engineering background be of tremendous value in our production effort as we continue to provide custom solutions to the clients that we serve.”
