MHEFI Raises $80,253 at Annual Fundraiser to Support Future Material Handling Scholarships

Friday, October 25, 2024

The Material Handling Education Foundation, Inc. (MHEFI) proudly announces $80,253 raised during its annual fundraiser at the MHI Annual Conference. These funds will enable MHEFI to provide scholarships to students and educators pursuing material handling and supply chain fields, helping to build a skilled workforce for this vital industry.

Through the generosity of its donors, MHEFI was able to fund scholarships for 61 students for the 2024/2025 academic year.  One recent recipient, Samantha Chiang, shared her appreciation for the support she received: "People would congratulate me on the scholarship for the next couple of months, which has been an exhilarating experience, and I am forever grateful for that boost in my reputation…I'm a second-generation Asian American on both sides of my family, so I really do want to highlight how much this scholarship means to me, as it helps my financial situation a lot." Chiang is pursuing a bachelor’s in science and engineering with a concentration in mechatronics at Kettering University.

MHEFI would like to thank the MHI Industry Groups for making a generous $49,700 contribution, further empowering MHEFI to support the next generation of industry leaders.  The MHI Industry Groups foster a collaborative environment to address common challenges and opportunities in material handling and supply chains, and they are a big supporter of the work of the Foundation and educating the future workforce

Additionally, MHEFI would like to recognize the commitment of the 2024 MHEFI’s Donor Club, which is comprised of the generous companies and individuals that have supported our educational mission.
