MHI & the Warehousing Education and Research Council (WERC) are pleased to sponsor recent research by the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) aimed at addressing the urgent challenges of supply chain electrification. Titled, “The Supply Chain Risks of the Energy Transition: A Blueprint for US Action,” this program empowers industry leaders with tools to adapt to the changing energy paradigm and future-proof their operations.
Recognizing the profound impact this energy shift will have on the supply chain, MHI CEO John Paxton stated that MHI and WERC are honored to support this forward-thinking research: “To build resilient supply chains for the future, industry must deepen its expertise in electrification and regulatory frameworks, while also leading on sustainability efforts and next-generation technologies.”
Paxton recently participated in an October 2nd keynote at CSCMP’s Edge Supply Chain Conference & Exhibition. The panel explored how a rising demand for energy, coupled with the drive to reduce reliance on fossil fuels, is reshaping the electrical ecosystem.
Key Highlights of CSCMP’s "The Supply Chain Risks of the Energy Transition" include in-depth analyses of the implications of electrification, renewable energy integration, and energy storage on supply chain operations. Additionally, the program offers practical recommendations for optimizing supply chain networks, enhancing last-mile delivery capabilities, and leveraging innovative technologies to align with the energy transition objectives.
