The Warehousing Education and Research Council (WERC) has released the fifth course in its Distribution Logistics Education Program. The Performance & Metrics course is designed for logistics professionals responsible for performance management and strategic decision making within a distribution facility.
The Performance & Metrics course is available online, enabling learners to complete the course at their own pace. Highlights of the course include:
• Metric-Driven Performance Management: Learners will gain a deep understanding of metric-driven performance management programs, including the creation of a metrics scorecard.
• Financial Analysis: The course teaches essential skills for analyzing financial data and applying it to assess the impact of logistics decisions.
• Benchmarking and Continuous Improvement: Participants will learn benchmarking techniques and continuous improvement methodologies, utilizing KPI dashboards to drive improved facility performance.
Upon completing the Performance & Metrics course, participants earn a digital badge to display on their LinkedIn profiles and email signatures. Completion of the entire six-course Distribution Logistics Education Program results in a WERC certificate for education. The program offers critical skills and knowledge for efficient warehouse and distribution center operations.
