1) Automated dispenser

A series of vertical product dispensers which kick individual units of products out the bottom onto a conveyor.

2) Chain conveyor

A form of powered conveyor used to transport heavy unit loads such as pallets and industrial containers. These conveyors can be single or double chain strand in configuration. This chain is not only the driving force but it is also the part which comes in direct contact with the load and provides friction which pulls the load forward. In some cases, free rollers on either side of or between the chain provide additional support to the load. Short sections of double strand chain conveyors are a common means of transferring loads at right angle to/from another straight section of roller conveyor.

3) Chute conveyor

The chute conveyor is the simplest example of gravity operated conveyor. Not unlike a child's sliding board, unit simply slides down a straight or spiraling metal or plastic chute to it ultimate destination.

4) Closed shelving

Shelving with the sides and back of the unit enclosed with sheet steel side and back panels.

5) Carrier

Also known as a trolley.  A unit that travels on the bottom flange of a monorail or patented track beam, jib crane or bridge girder to transport a load. Also refers to a trucking line used to transport materials to and from a distribution center.

6) Air hoist

A suspended machinery unit that is powered by pneumatically driven motors and is used to lift or lower a freely suspended (unguided) load.  Generally uses chain or wire rope as its lifting medium.

7) Air chain hoist

A pneumatically driven machinery unit, utilizing chain as its lifting medium, and used for the lifting and lowering of a freely suspended (unguided)load.  Often used in environments that require electric spark avoidance due to a potentially explosive atmosphere.

8) Air wire rope hoist

A pneumatically driven machinery unit, utilizing wire rope as its lifting medium, and used for the lifting and lowering of a freely suspended (unguided) load.  Often used in environments that require electric spark avoidance due to a potentially explosive atmosphere.

9) Automatic Guided Vehicle System

An Automatic Guided Vehicle System, or AGVS consists of one or more computer controlled wheel based load carriers (normally battery powered) that runs on the plant floor (or if outdoors on a paved area) without the need for an onboard operator or driver. AGVs have defined paths or areas within which or over which they can navigate. Navigation is achieved by any one of several means, including following a path defined by buried inductive wires, surface mounted magnetic or optical strips; or alternatively by way of inertial or laser guidance.
