Placing dies into a CNC Machine can be a very cumbersome and potentially dangerous undertaking. Tight clearances on the machines add to the problem. An aerospace company had been using a forklift truck to accomplish the task. Along with pinching fingers and damage to the machine, it sometimes required three persons and a few hours to maneuver into place. Not to mention the possibility of a more serous accident.
