Heavy Duty Electric Chain Hoist Operates Over Hot Sulfuric Acid

A Pennsylvania metal castings foundry was using an electric hoist over a hot sulfuric acid tank. The harsh environment was too much for the hoist in this application. Daily maintenance and repairs were needed just to keep the hoist operational. A heavy duty electric chain hoist was installed which comes standard with a fan cooled 60 minute duty rated motor and a completely sealed body, and it held up to the rigors of this tough environment.
