About the Role:
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team in Atlanta, GA. As a Sales Representative, your primary focus will be on customer acquisition and business development in the warehouse racking and storage solutions industry. You will be responsible for building strong relationships, driving sales, and identifying new business opportunities. Position Overview:
As a Sales Representative, you will focus primarily on business development — driving new sales opportunities and building long-term client relationships. You will be responsible for seeking out new clients, particularly in the warehouse, manufacturing, and logistics sectors, and presenting tailored storage solutions. You will be expected to leverage your knowledge of pallet racks and cantilever racks to effectively engage prospects. Our team will provide strong support throughout the sales process, ensuring you have the tools and resources you need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
New Business Development: Proactively seek out new clients through cold calling, door-to-door visits, networking, and attending relevant industry events. Focus on identifying and developing business opportunities within the warehouse, logistics, and manufacturing sectors.
Product Consultation and Sales: Work with potential clients to understand their needs and recommend customized racking solutions (pallet racks, cantilever racks, etc.). Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, helping them choose the right solutions to optimize their warehouse operations.
Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with new and existing customers. Ensure consistent follow-up, problem-solving, and support throughout the entire sales cycle.
Sales Reporting: Consistently provide sales progress reports to the Sales Manager and other relevant stakeholders. Regularly update on lead status, opportunities, and overall sales pipeline. Ensure that any changes or developments in the sales process are communicated promptly to the team, fostering a culture of transparency and collaboration.
Collaboration and Team Support: Partner with internal teams to deliver a seamless client experience from sale to installation. Utilize team resources to support your sales efforts and ensure successful project execution.
Market Knowledge: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs. Share insights with the team to help refine sales strategies and better serve clients.
What you'll need to succeed
Sales Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, ideally in the warehouse shelving or material handling industry. Familiarity with pallet racks, cantilever racks, and other warehouse storage solutions is highly preferred.
Customer Development Skills: Proven track record of building relationships and proactively generating new business. Experience with direct client outreach is a plus.
Proactive and Results-Driven: Self-motivated with a strong drive to achieve sales targets. Able to work independently, take initiative, and follow through on leads.
Strong Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Able to engage with customers in a professional and friendly manner, both in person and through digital communication.
Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners to deliver outstanding customer service and ensure project success.
Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using ERP systems, sales software, and other office tools (such as Microsoft Office\QuickBooks\Outlook\teams, etc.). Ability to quickly learn and utilize new technology.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with warehouse operations, logistics, and storage systems is highly desirable. Experience with warehouse design and racking system installation is a plus.
Installation Team Network: Connections to or experience working with racking installation teams and contractors is a significant advantage.
