Regional Sales Manager


Position Summary  

The Regional Sales Manager will spearhead sales initiatives for our ergonomics workstations within a designated region. This role involves developing and executing strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth, developing and managing appropriate sales channels, expand market share, and enhance customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, a strong understanding of ergonomic products, and the ability to operate independently. Responsibilities include identifying and targeting key accounts, fostering long-term client relationships, analyzing market trends, and collaborating with marketing and product development teams to tailor solutions that meet customer needs. The Regional Sales Manager will also be responsible for setting sales goals, tracking performance metrics, and delivering regular reports to senior management. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strategic mindset, and a passion for promoting innovative ergonomic solutions.

 

Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities

  • Execute sales and growth strategies.
  • Achieve sales goals and other targets.
  • Develop and maintain the best distribution methods for our products.
  • Effectively manage channels and key accounts.
  • Make personal contacts with customers, dealers, integrators and consultants.
  • Establish and build relationships inside and outside the organization.
  • Lead, direct and mentor sales personnel as assigned.
  • Investigate, distribute and follow up with staff on projects.
  • Develop and manage business plans with dealers / distributors.
  • Provide training to dealers and field representatives in an effort to increase their product knowledge.
  • Prepare and/or deliver formal sales presentations and project proposals with insides sales and marketing support.
  • Keep current on trends, products and competitive landscape.
  • Respond to requests for quotations.
  • Prepare sales activity reports.
  • Attend and generate leads at tradeshows.  Follow up on leads. Represent the organization at other external events.
  • Identify revenue-increasing opportunities within current markets and engage appropriate functional areas such as Marketing and/or Product Management for support, planning and execution.
  • Develop detailed sales plans, to support existing and new markets and/or products.
  • Proficiency/ experience with CRM.
  • Work in an extremely safe manner, following all safety rules and regulations.

Requirements

Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, and/or related fields.
  • Minimum five (5) years of field sales experience, preferably in a market / industry related to ours.
  • Background in engineering and understanding of ergonomic principles are helpful.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing and understanding of product applications.
  • Demonstrated sales growth results.
  • Strong relationship-building abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills - interpersonal, verbal, and written.
  • Personal credibility as evidenced by following through on promises and commitments.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Confident and persuasive negotiating skills.
  • Ability to train other personnel on products, related product solutions, and sales techniques.
  • Experienced in making presentations to knowledgeable groups of professionals.
  • Proficient in the use of personal computers, the Internet, Word, Excel, and Outlook applications.
  • Willingness and ability to travel often and extensively.
  • Ability to work independently away from direct support.

 

Physical Demands and Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, see, and hear.  The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and reach with hands and arms.  The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Frequent travel and/or driving is required.  Noise levels are typically low to moderate.

Competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications, ranging from $80,000 to $110,000 annually plus commission.
