Order Entry/Shipping Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized individual to join our team as an Order Entry/Shipping Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for processing incoming orders and ensuring accuracy and efficiency in data entry. As an Order Entry Specialist, you will be critical in ensuring our customers receive their orders on time and with the correct specifications. Also responsible for maintaining accurate records of orders and scheduling a truck pickup.  

Responsibilities

• Accurately input customer orders into our ordering system, ensuring all information is correct and up-to-date.

• Respond to customer inquiries regarding their orders and ensure they are resolved promptly.

• Process orders on time to meet customer delivery expectations.

• Monitor order status throughout the fulfillment process and work with logistical personnel to ensure timely delivery.

• Collaborate with various departments including sales, customer service, and supply chain to ensure timely order fulfillment and delivery.

• Resolve issues that arise with customer orders including changes, cancellations, or discrepancies.

• Maintain accurate data entry records and ensure the order processing system is updated in real-time.

• Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives to ensure maximum efficiency in the order entry process.

• Call Freight Companies to schedule shipments 

• Have proper paperwork to send out the shipment. 

Requirements

• Proven experience as an order entry specialist or similar position with experience in customer service or related fields (B2B or Manufacturer ) 

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and order entry systems (sage 300)

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry

• Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously

• Strong communication and customer service skills to build positive relationships with customers

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines

• An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred
